Metaal Gieterij Giessen in Tegelen has three departments:
The core factory, the molding line and the finishing department.
Are you interested in technology or a job in production?
Then we would like to invite you for a look behind the scenes of our customer MGG.
After an interesting tour through the factory, we will jointly decide in which department you can best fit with your qualities.
At the core workshop you will be making sand molds.
These sand molds are made by a machine, after which they still have to be processed.
In this process you will be adding parts to the mold and do quality checks and clean the parts according to the work instruction.
You will work at the core shooting machines and ensure that the production process of the sand cores runs smoothly.
These sand cores then go to the second department, the molding line.
Here you are involved in the manufacture of the castings.
The production line is a moving line, where the sand cores are put into boxes, both manually and with the help of a crane.
In this department you may also work at the cutting table, where the castings are loosened from excess aluminum that has been left on during the casting process.
In the last department - the finishing department, you are busy machining/grinding (often heavy) castings.
You can think of grinding, deburring, sawing and coring of the castings.
You do this with the help of different hand tools.
You need some technical insight for this and you are not afraid to get your hands dirty. A handson mentality is needed here!
